STRAIGHT STAIRLIFT

A ‘Straight Stairlift’ runs up and down a straight stairlift rail, which is where it gets its name. Because the rail is straight, it is only suitable for straight flights of stairs which have no bends or turns anywhere along their length. Straight stairlift rails are mass-produced and only need cutting to length for each installation, which is why straight stairlifts are the easiest type to install and the most affordable. A SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE SOLUTION

If you have a straight staircase with no bends or turns, the Acorn 130 Straight Stairlift is a simple and effective solution. Its single straight rail is made using light but strong extruded aluminum. It is securely fixed to whichever side of the stairs that the stairlift will run on, occupying a minimum of space. The stairlift carriage (the part you ride on) is mounted on the rail and moves smoothly up and down it. The rail is connected to the nearest domestic power socket so that the rechargeable batteries in the carriage are recharged whenever it is parked at the top or bottom of the stairs.

A range of inbuilt safety features on the Acorn 130 includes auto-stop sensors to detect any obstruction accidentally left in its path.

SPECIFICATIONS

The Acorn 130’s slimline and foldable carriage design makes it ideal for narrower stairs. The seat, armrests and footrest all fold neatly away when not needed. The maximum carrying capacity is 300lbs, but an uprated heavy duty version can carry up to 350lbs.
