CURVED STAIRLIFT

A ‘Curved Stairlift’ runs up and down a stairlift rail which has curves in it, which is where it gets its name. It’s wrong to assume it’s only for curving staircases; in fact, any ‘non-straight stairs’ with turns, bends or angles somewhere along their length will need a curved stairlift. The turn may be a sharp right-angle, but the rail must curve around it for a smooth ride. Every curved stairlift rail is a one-off, built to precisely match the stairs it will be installed on. That’s why curved stairlifts are more expensive and take a little longer to install.

The Acorn 180 Curved Stairlift is a uniquely versatile solution for more complex ‘non-straight’ flights of stairs. It uses Acorn’s patented FastTrack® modular rail system, which has slashed customer waiting times for a curved stairlift. It uses a wide selection of ready-made interlocking rail sections, each with a slightly different degree of bend or incline. A home survey pinpoints which sections are needed to build a bespoke curved rail and they are assembled in the customer’s home by a skilled technician in just a few hours. An Acorn 180 can be installed within days of an order, not weeks.
